Record locks can have effects on other records in the system. Records that are affected by locks on other objects are said to be “Effectively Locked”. You can review a record’s lock state by selecting the record in the Structure section then reviewing the Effective Locks in the Lock Details section. Effective Locks are illustrated using disabled checkboxes, which are read-only.
Some lock types have effects on other lock types. Meta Delete locks implicitly activate Delete Locks. In other words, applying the Meta Delete Lock will automatically activate the Delete Lock.
